Bio

Corporate Finance specialist with a track record of originating and executing corporate and investment banking transactions and strategic advisory for both large scale and mid-market clients, in public and private markets.

 Extensive experience advising on strategic and financial alternatives in a wide variety transactions and situations, including: strategic/growth acquisitions, mergers, divestitures and carve-outs, capital raising and IPOs, activism/defense, optimal capital structure and capital allocation/return of capital policies. 

TMT (Technology, Media & Telecom) Sector specialization developed as part of the US/Global and EMEA industry teams at BofA Merrill Lynch, covering and advising clients in the Telecom & Digital Infrastructure, Media, Sports & Entertainment, and Education sub-sectors.

2004–2007

Ramón began his professional career at EY, initially in the financial services audit department and later in the Transaction Advisory department, where he participated in multiple financial due diligence projects, advising private equity funds and corporations on mergers and acquisitions. He specialized in business plan reviews and financial closing adjustments in transactions.

2007–2011

He then joined Altium Capital, a boutique investment bank specializing in M&A advisory, focused on the Spanish middle market and primarily on sell-side mandates. Notable transactions he worked on include advising on the sale of Panasa/Berlys to Mercapital and Artá Capital, one of the largest LBOs in Spain in 2010.

2011–2022

Ramón moved to the United States to pursue an MBA at the Darden School of Business (University of Virginia) and subsequently joined Bank of America Merrill Lynch in New York, as part of the Investment Banking team specializing in the Technology, Media & Telecom (TMT) sector.

In this role, he focused on the origination and execution of M&A advisory transactions, as well as financing and fundraising (both debt and equity) transactions, working with large corporations and private equity funds across various TMT subsectors, including telecom operators, digital infrastructure (fiber, towers), pay TV and streaming, content production, theme parks, leisure & entertainment, out-of-home advertising, digital media and social networks, IT services, and education.

2022–2024

Ramón later relocated to Madrid, continuing his career at Bank of America within the TMT group, covering companies in the EMEA region, with a focus on telecommunications and digital infrastructure, media & entertainment, and leading the coverage of the education sector in the region.

In 2024, he joined Teras Capital, bringing specialized expertise and extensive experience in corporate and financing transactions, as well as deep knowledge of the TMT sector.
